| YIN Ling |
Lovemaking for World Peace During the opening ceremonies, Yin Ling will stage a performance featuring the artist in camouflage lingerie. At a site that is impure, impious and dominated by masculinity, Yin uses the tenderness of lovemaking in an effort to symbolically negate, subvert and flout the cruelty of war and politics. Photo and video documentation from the performance will be shown for the duration of BMoCA. Born in 1978 in Taipei, Yin Ling was raised in Japan where she began modeling and acting at the age of 16. At 19, Yin met Russian photographer Hiraokanovsky Kuratachenko, with whom she collaborated on a series of erotic, politically charged photographic works. Yin's sex appeal, her talent for impersonation, and shrewd marketing skills have made her a political and erotic idol throughout Asia. |
